- Version 1.7 is Firefox 1.5 compatible. (1 December 2005)
- Version 1.6 fixes a bug with the Japanese locale. (23 May 2005)
- Version 1.5 adds an options dialog to select which IP address you want to paste. (8 December 2004)
A quick extension I wrote for my own personal use, that I thought I'd share with the world. This adds a context menu to textboxes or email messages allowing you to paste an IP address or your current user agent string.
I used this mostly at the W3C validator when validating files on my personal web server, and I got tired of having to check my address with ipconfig all the time.
To all those people who post comments on update.mozilla.org saying it pastes the wrong IP address: READ THE RELEASE NOTES! There is a preference that controls which IP address is pasted.
If you have any comments or issues you want me to address, there is a contact form on my personal web page, there isn't really a way for me to respond to the comments that are left on the mozdev.org site here.
Plans for 2.0 include support for NAT-based clients, and perhaps an optional status bar entry showing your current IP address.
